There seems to be a lot of promising series this season (based on looking at pics from blogs

) and I'll try to watch as many as I can to report what's good or not.. So far I saw ep1 of school rumble 2nd semester, which was really really good \o/ Hopefully the rest of the season will be as funny as it was. I also saw Kiba ep1, which is a sort of shounen actiony type affair, the quality of the production seemed quite high and there was good pacing and such for the first ep, so I shall watch more, although the ending of the first ep leads one to believe it won't be quite such a grim setting from now on, which is a shame imo, but we shall see!

I have been busy with reading having read a bit of Girls Bravo and all of Ichigo 100%.. Girls bravo surprises me by being relatively fan service free (atleast compared to the anime incarnation), and is kinda boring tbh :x On the otherhand, ichigo 100% is full of service

even more so than the anime was! (aside maybe from that ova where they worked at a hotel and did cosplay and stuff.. x< ). Also was kinda boring (but the service saved it) earlier on (though familiarity from the anime didn't help ofc) but later on it was quite interesting to see who he'd pick and how things would turn out.

Sorry to disappoint you bubble, but I actually prefered satsuki in the anime, after reading the manga I like her less ]

I'm a big Kozue fan too

I love her little fantasys, shes one of the biggest perverts in the series

Misuzu on the other hand kinda sucks, there a nice little spin off about her which made me like her a bit more, but not as much as Kozue or Satsuki , but you need to read it after volumn 19 to avoid spoilers.

Btw what volume are you at, and who do you thinks going to win?

Well as I said, Misuzu was greatly under utilised after her introduction so she had no time to grow... she had strong tsunderekko potentials imo, but none of it ever came to fruitition due to her very very limited appearances. Have read all of it including vol19 (though not sure I read the spin off you mentioned), wasn't really expecting that ending! Though in my heart I was hoping for Kozue til the bitter end!

But yeah I was thinking it was heading to the most obvious choice of toujou when I was reading the last 2 vols, Kozue looked like she had some kinda chance at first! But her importance dropped a lot after her accidental confession of love, which sucked since she was the bestest!! (the island bit was fun though

)

Just watched episode 1 of Air Gear, based on a manga by Oh Great! of tenjo tenge fame. Which oddly enough I read (oho x<) and which imo isn't that great of a manga, tenjo tenge is more exciting and has more fanservice in general (although the fanservice of air gear is perhaps more "extreme" when it does happen.. naked boob fondling etc!). Hmm anyways, the anime.. well, even from the opening it was clear it wasn't gonna be uber

pretty decent song but the animation was exciting enough to match at all really.. which kinda sums up the episode too, rather lifeless feeling and dull, I didn't like most of the cast's voices either, which doesn't help

Though Simca's voice wasn't bad! Quality of animation was rather low for a first episode too, overall looked good enough but lots of bits that looked cheaply done too, which they normally don't let seep into a first episode

They've also completely changed the plot from the manga oO The first episode was like 15% manga content and 85% randomly arranged new content that was sorta similar to some bits of the manga but in the wrong order and stuff! Whether or not this is a bad thing I dunno though

Since the manga isn't that great to begin with so maybe they'll make a better story! x<

Btw a cbr file is a zip file image viewer file, i use Cdisplay to read manga to avoid having loads of unzipped image files

Just rename the .cbr to .zip(or .rar) if you want to extract the image files.

Everyone I've talked to seems to like Air Gear anime ep1, so I guess it's just me with too large expectations/hopes from reading the manga

I've read all the tenjo tenge manga that's released so far.. it seems like it's now only coming out monthly not weekly

Which kinda sucks tbh! Looking at the number of raws available, about 100 chapters of Air Gear are out, but only up to 57 scanlated atm (haven't looked at the raws themselves, just the chapter count).

Fasarina is so hawt x< Seems I fail at taking pics of .wmv files, or I'd post some screenshots of her, using wmp10 like I always newbishly do, but ctrl+I doesn't seem to take screencaps when playing .wmv unlike when playing other formats oO ]

Read the special, I knew she had good tsunderekko potential! Though it was still rather rushed since it was just a small special, she really shoulda gotten more time properly in the manga after she was introduced.

OMFG

I have just watched something amazing.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Words cannot describe what I just saw! Well, they can, but they don't do justice to the absolute genius of this first episode. Without a doubt this is the best thing I've seen this season by far. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. I had heard great things about it but I really wasn't expecting that! Anyways, the entire first episode isn't even the show itself, instead it's "The adventures of Mikuru Asahina" a movie that some students have made, directed by Haruhi Suzumiya (who only shows up for like 10secs - the one with the red armband saying choukantoku - super-director

), if Manaka (of ichigo 100%) saw it I think he'd be gouging out his eyes, it's so wonderfully bad \o/ I can't wait for episode two, entitled: "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 1" which according to bloggers is excellent too

Oh man I want it subbed now ><

P.S. The dance in the ending credits.. wtf pwn

Apparently it's full size from ep2 on, even more win \o/

P.P.S btw, the attention to detail in this is amazing, even though it's designed to look like a crappy home movie, it's clear the animation quality for this show is superb. Check out how everyone actually blinks!

[Edit: Holy crap, ep2 is already subbed since yesterday and I never noticed?!?! OMFG]
