I fail to see the "great" loss that lots of people have brought up with the immature departure of Requiel from prydwen.net. Wonder what thrilling news Requiel has given us apart from "Its being looked into it" "Its being taken care of" "We are working on the situation" "We are taking every necessary step to make sure blabla is back up again".
I also fail to see why a GM would have to post on forums to keep a community informed about events related to the game while there is an official page for the very same game that should be updated with details, everytime a problem that needs clarification occurs.
As for you Requiel, altough i appreciate your effort and will to sypmathize with the community, being a professional GM you should not at all start on community forums and maybe get your web team to post every update on every situation correctly on the official website or have Goa Europe run their own forums for Daoc, having chosen to be in close contact with the community being a company's only representative that the community may easily reach, being blamed for every bad step your company takes is inevitable and you shouldnt take it personal. Throwing up the EULA at people's face was a silly thing to do to say the least, being given reports from a thousand players, every courthouse would justify that your company is not fulfilling its end of the contract. I am pretty sure that you are well aware of the fact that your company is not providing the service we are paying for and its not weird that you are defending the company that pays you, though to do so, you should have justifiable facts which you highly lack.
For the xml, for about 20k european players, say they have 8 chars all average, 160k chars, 2 weeks of working days should largely be sufficient for 1experienced person to parse all.
Say you order food at a restaurant, its not what you paid for, you ask the waiter to change it, he says he told the cook and that he will, yet you wait 20minutes no action, you ask him again, wait another 20 minutes.. you call him again and tell him they suck at doing their job, he tells you he isnt in for anything and that the cook is aware of the situation and that he "will look into it", if you have enough patience you wait another 20 minutes... then you call the waiter again, at this point a calm person will ask his money back and leave the restaurant immediately, a rather hungry and angry person will throw the food at the face of the waiter with insults and then leave, if he doesnt beat the waiter...(regardless of it being the fault of the waiter or the cook or the boss)
Taking the money is the easy part of the job, providing the service for the money you took is the hard part and regardless of in which part of the company was the fault, its always the "contact" that receives the best wishes and the client is always right as he is the one paying for something.

Now here is the funny thing, the restaurant will call the police and you can be arrested. A restuarant can take as long as it likes to serve the food to you. If you order the food without specifying that you need it served by a particular time, then you HAVE to pay if you leave before the restuarant closes.
