Since back in the 80's when I was involved with the piracy scene - the discussion about computer voilence have been a constant discussion in the media. The ones who are against computer games are almost ALWAYS people who don't like computer games and/or have no idea what kind of people play games.

Dunno about you guys but imo Daoc teached me a lot about ppl. I can smell the assholes from a mile away now :D And thats a good thing, games dont only teach the mentally unstable how to kill ppl it can actually do a lot of good aswell. And that goes for everything. There's a good and a bad side to everything.

They probably wouldn't have associated it so directly with violent computer games if it wasn't for the fact that he built a CounterStrike level of his school to practise the massacre in, & announced the massacre on a games forum in advance.
Well, at least there is *some* basis in fact for the law, it is not pure knee-jerk.

There was a similar case somewhere where the victim was the one who played the game and yet the game was blamed for the killing by the media.

I'd say banning computer games, films, music is only going to increase the pool of people suffering from boredom and potentially depression.

Frankly I don't think there's a lot you can do, there's always going to be those who slip through the net.

Depends how "human" or "human looking" is defined.

How many humans do you know of who are two-dimensional? I know that you can rotate a character on-screen, but you're still only looking at a flat image, so maybe you could argue on that grounds that it isn't even "human looking" because no human is two-dimensional. Dunno.

tbh their being racist

why is it ok to shoot non-human things but not humans?

all or nothing imo :p

that or they could just give an iq test to these people when they buy it.
if they actually think cs is real they are too dumb to play the game...
