The best way to have it is chips in a roll.
But here in Yorkshire they call a roll a bun!

Still, these Yorkshire folk are a funny bunch, I don't trust them :p

Depends where you're from I think, I always thought of buns as being more like hot cross buns, i.e bread/pastry with sweet stuff on top like icing, syrup or whatever the hell that sticky sweet stuff is, etc. and rolls like, well, round bread rolls :)

donut..

ringed or cake...

thats another poll idea!!!

personall ring beats cake but if cake then jam filled.
none of that chocolate/custard/apple filling bleeeee

but where i am

rolls = finger roll type bread things. like the long sandwige .. mini battons but always soft
cob = round sphereshaped ball of dough..normally crusty on the top
bap = round sphereshapped ball of dough...normally soft/floured top
bun = round sphereshapped ball of dough...normally with sesemee seeds top and soft
bun = finger roll iced type cake thing
bun = type of hair style.
bun = one half of a muscular male buttock as in 'nice buns' (orig from america).

so ^^

Wasn't the "Sandwich" named after the Earl of Sandwich, who was a bit of a gambler and in order to prevent himself from having to move away from the card table to eat, ordered his servant to fetch him some meat between two slices of bread?
