Ok, just posting this cos im frustrated and tired and confused hehe...

I have gone back to trying to level my eldritch, and i figured out that its very slow to solo without any of those super cool catacombs + pve thingies you can get, so i decided i would need a good deal of aurulite to get him a good set to solo his way up

Well, i was an hour and a half researching and finding out where i could find aurulite, cos i had never really been in that part of catacombs before. After much asking and no answers, finally Lick in Excalibur was nice enough to help me out. He indicated Corus, where there were two 'adventure wings.' The first one was a crack in the wall with red fuzz inside which was easy to port into, but i got the impression that the one in the pit would be higher level and therefore i could get a little more aurulite. What i wasnt expecting, was the "Supposed Port of Doom"

I am now calling all those bluey green portals which have a wooden fence in front of them as "Supposed Ports of Doom" for a few reasons. Firstly, everyone refers to them as a port entrance, so some people must be able to get through. In my UI, it says its somewhere where you can get into the instance dungeon, so it must be an entrance. I checked on Allakhazam. Yep, nothing special or different, its just an entrance to an instance dungeon. However, no matter how hard i tried for 30-45 mins, including logging on different toons and hurling myself at that portal, nothing at all happened.

This made me sad

Has anyone else had this problem? Am i just being silly and not taking with me the special chocolate fudge coated shiney uber key to get in? Whats the trick to getting in?

If anyone could help me out here i would be very happy, i just want my eldritch his last few levels from 42-50.

edit: I tried one of those instance dungeons which give you lots of xp, and when i finished it, i went back to the entrance. To my horror, i found out it was a Supposed Port of Doom. I again tried to get out of it the best i could but it denied me over and over again until i logged off and back in again, safely in connacht. Help me Hibs

Do you have Catacombs installed? And are you using the Cata client?

If you are sure that you are, then Rightnow as it is a bug in your installation that GOA will be interested in.

i got stuck by the door as well, stupid i know but i didnt even concider that you had to open it.
cant remember if its left or right click but you need to open the 'fence' before you can get in
