Some nice articles in The Times today:

Wouldn't it make more sense to concentrate on keeping the animals alive that are on the verge of being extinct before we start resurrecting old ones

?

I'd be interested to know how intact the dna is in those frozen sperm (not a phrase you hear everyday!). I bet it is nothing near as intact as the perception given from that article.

I know but the mammoth might have had great little swimmers who knows! You cannot tell everything from evolution.

maybe and maybe thats why they will be in tact and we will soon have elephants with coats running around. I am quite excited by the prospect. I can see it now instead of boring donkeys on the beach we can have our own mamothiphaunt.... I be they will be cute.

yeah but dodo's were not ermm mammals. Bird sperm dosen't freeze so good apparently. So they are still screwed
