I pretty much agree with Lair, I would rather they stood up for what they believe in and try to get laws changed than go about breaking the laws. Just because someone wants a law changed, doesn't mean they will break the existing laws.

No, they will do no good what so ever in the goverment. They need medical treatment (no idea what kind..but I know they need SOME kind of treatment or help) and NOT political power.

But why would you wanna lower the age unless you don't think it would be right? Imo if you belive the age should be lowered your not much better than the paedophiles.

Kids are kids - not adults.

Edit: There are tons of problems in the world and tons of laws that need to be changed..if anyone puts any kind of energy into trying to what these politicians are trying to do - they should be removed from their position instantly.

Edit2: It would do ANYTHING good for children to lower the age. Only ones that will gain on this are the paedophiles. Give laws that helps kids rather than the scum. Kids are our future.

Edit3: I'd rather see much harder laws against the paedophiles than this. Now THATS something for the politicians to work on.

i'm a 100% with ankh on this. They should have no rights, i'm ashamed to even breath the same air as they do. They should be hung on a cross and have their balls removed VERY SLOW and then let them bleed to death. I have no sympaty whatsoever for them. They shouldnt have any rights.
Its not about the lowering the age of sex, its the reasone behind it that counts here guys. The only reason why they want it is cos then they can go and do whatever they feel like.
Its not cos they are in politics that they wont break the law. Drugs is illegal over here but it doesnt stop some politicians to still use drugs. And thats a stupid example.
Yes these ppl are ill but i doubt any treatment will cure them.

...but even if they werent - it would still be wrong imo.

Kids are ment to play with toys, do their homework, have fun with their family - not get abused by older men just cos they are unable to get sexual satisfaction from people in their own age..and certainly not be in porn movies that usually gives people the wrong impression on what sex is all about.

my teamleaders daughter got picked on at school cuz she had a barbie backpack.
She was about 5/6
now her younger sister has been picked on for the same reasoning.

Now adays. there are no children it seems. just minature adults

Proberbly and also because many parents try to treat them like adults when they are not (wild guess).

I really hate it when I see extremly young girls running around with the playboy bunny on their t-shirt or having cloths that reveals too much. What kind of parent buys them those kind of cloths?? Thats like putting a big sign over them asking for trouble.

But as you said, it could be because they learn too much. I know my X 6 year old boy came home from school after 9/11 and told me that he had learned about terrorists and what happened at 9/11. Sure, they do deserve to know - but I personally don't think any kid should have to worry about what happens in the world at all. They should enjoy their childhood instead.

people expect more an more of their kids these days. And I speak from own experience, when you're youngh (12-14) you want to be an adult, you want to act like one etc.. i started smoking at 14 due to number of reasons but one of them was to act more grown up. And I really feel strongy that kids have to be protected from themselves. Cos a lot of girls/boys have sex just cos they feel they have to cos their friends already did it. And imo sex should be something nice and should be done when you're upto it and not cos you feel you have to.
If adults (paedophiles) have the excuse that there is no age limit to sex they will abuse that right.
Yesterday there was another shocking fact in the news (really need to stop watching the news) a woman that looked after kids during the day (age between a few month till 3y) her husband was arrested for sexually abusing all the kids. So even baby's!! arent safe from the perverts.

pedophilia is a perversion, not some kind of original 'funny' orientation.
i found it disturbing how behind so called 'freedom' ppl try to pass through ideas like this.
I'm not dutch but i happen to live in holland and i found it a dangerous slide towards a complete morale relativism and deterioration of society.
By slowly accepting the presence of things like that ppl become just indifferent more and more, and at some point nothing surprises them; becomes just a thing, like any other stuff, happening around...
This is seriously sick.
