Norcott, you quoted me as if you were responding to my post, but if you were intending to then you missed the point of what I was saying.

I wasn't saying adding is or isn't ok. I do have a position on that argument but I haven't stated it in this thread.

What I was saying is that adding exists. Just because it's not against the CoC doesn't mean it doesn't exist. As such, the pro-adders can't just keep trying to fall back on the CoC and dismiss the anti-adders on that basis. There is a real issue here that needs to be engaged constructively. I have ideas about why that hasn't happened so far, but I've got stuff to do, so... laters.

Norcott,

if they had not closed the thread I would not have had to compose a very long message to open the discussion up again only under a more positive guise. Mind you if they had not closed neither would Slayn have posted here and we would not now be talking.

So really its what we not you, or 'the adder' or the 'l33t prick' make of it and thats the message.

I think your first post is great because in it you can see the complexity of the situation we find ourselves in and sometimes its hard to seperate the components that are blocking our copmmunication from the bits that help us cut through to communicate.

Just re-read your post. Where you make generalisations ask yourself is that universally true? Does it hold for everyone's view of the game? Then ask yourself - is this point really that useful then in helping me relate to the other people here? After ask should I make this point? Then ask what point will really help me relate to the forums?

Finally ask in your post how can we solve this problem (if there is one). If there isn't a problem then there is probably no real reason to post.... I delete so many posts before I even make them after trying that out. Which is strange considering the spam I can produce on an average day! :p

All I got to say is: What if we remove Xest from Prydwen.NET and put him on as FH-mod. It would improve the level of moderation on both forums !

(just a random comment to get 3 year old cows out xD)

I wouldn't wish modding FH on anyone - ever. Even if they'd persecuted me in former lives & were continuing to do so in the current one.

lol hey no way - I love reading this stuff. I just loved your post it was a great example of the kind of difficulties we all face in trying to relate and communicate.

I only posted the questions I would never ever to that to someone else's post in totality your post captures everything that makes this all such fun to think about and to analyse. So never ever would I say don't post, that always a personal choice - and there you see you have my perspective on another topic - censorship and moderation. Thats one for another time.
