I remember a discussion ages ago abour IRC channels - could someone list the useful ones here - preferably the ones without the dicks in them if possible?

Only daoc channels I idle in are my guild channel #daoc.eclipse and #prydwen.stealthers

To add 2 more:

#groove.daoc <--- excal channel
#prydwen.rvr - mostly for fg vs fg whingin.

Beware of the powers some operators (the people with @ in front of their name) have btw, they are well known for using them!

I was in there last night - the spam is strong in there. Ascending dawn is a nice channel and it is so cool to hear that those guys are in their way back!

#groove.daoc - the home of the 1337's. All you ever hear there is crap about realm rank, pryd v excal and RR v PE v Maelstrom etc etc, but it's fun

and you get kicked if you add/zerg an OP

I have been watching the channels because I am kind of bored as I 'grind' (its a figure of speech - chanter is oped!) towards 49 on me Chanter and BB. One of them in particular I thought was quite poor.

#daocgroove seemed full of spammage but seems to be civil enough, it is nice being able to see people there who you know are online at the time. It would definitely not be for everyone.
