Split the thread then since no1 was flaming? Useless discussion anyway altho u can maybe understand the point that it ain't exactly a great thing to post a thought, get a random slap cause some1 didn't get it the right way and find the thread closed after 30 s ..

I appreciate its not being posted officially by Mythic/Goa that this is a bug/exploit but its certainly not intended to be done in this way and you should respect the fact that it COULD be an exploit and doing it this way knowing that fact could have implications thereafter for yourselves.

If you do it and GOA do class it as a bug then you could be in trouble.
Its just to make sure people are aware that it shouldnt be allowed.
Most people are honest (i hope) and are possibly deleteing them because they can thinking 'well if i can delete surely im sposed too' when in fact they shouldnt be

Well I don´t shoot the messenger but in my personal experience (have seen similiar things in different games) is that don´t let the crowd know about something that might be a bug but it´s not classified as one.

because GOA can´t ban anyone using this way to gain cl exp until they classifies it as a bug. Deleting quests and redoing them has never been a bug and neither is this until GOA says so.

I understand where he comes from and it´s prob GOA that told him to post a heads up on the internal boards but I see it as totally the wrong way of doing it.

As far as I know the deleting and re-doing of quest has only recently been brought in the game with the patch of DR. So saying that it has never been seen as a bug is pretty pointless wont you say since its only been here for a couple of days. Thats why Norc tries to warn ppl not to do it.

ok i asked for nana to step in on the post because Grim was gettin on my nerves tbh.. with his attitude when i was trying to give people an early warning..
ill think twice in future......

i did write a big post about the ammount of time effort that we put in for the good of the community but deleted.. for risk of gettin flamed/ slated or whatever.. so looking like the way this place is .. ousted out gms for how many months .. then e&e's ..
different story when ur encounters bugged isnt it..

Have to agree this can be seen from 2 different sides of view.
Posting about the "exploit" might tempt people to actually do it now since it's an easy way of earning CLxp. I on the other hand cba to do it on my ranger, since it's hard enough already to find a group who takes rangers.
Like Norc said he posted it, to prevent people from doing it, not only the ones doing it on purpose, but also for those who might be told it's a good idea to do so, not knowing it's not the way it should be done.

Mainly the problem lies in the fact that we are now able to remove quests from the journal, a new option which was given to us in game. Instead of just being able to remove and get the quest again, maybe Mythic/GoA should have done it in a way it wasn't able for us anymore to get the quest back, UNLESS rightnowing u deleted it by accident and that way getting it back after investigation.

The only good thing for me about being able to delete quests is i was finally able to remove the lvl11 and so on quests from my journal.

Good job imo on warning people Norc. U still be my friend and help me when an encounter is bugged? j/k m8, u worry too much

Thanks for the info Norr. Glad that Requiel is responding once more here. The e&e's not been ousted though, puppet mostly uses FH, dont recognise the listed names of the other e&e's for prydwen as ever using this board - may ofcourse just be that the names listed arnt the ones they have registered here in the past.

Instead of just being able to remove and get the quest again, maybe Mythic/GoA should have done it in a way it wasn't able for us anymore to get the quest back[/QUOTE] Just a note, on US the quest is flagged as unremoveable so that you can't do this, afaik it's always been this way because I got CL5 pretty early on on my minstrel yet had also done the quest for the harp, as I had no intention of every doing the quest again because I was already CL5 I tried to remove it to clear my journal but was unable to. This sounds like a GOA only bug.

The original thread was locked because it was meant as an informational post yet was already on the track to flaming, to keep it informative and to the point we decided to just stop it in it's tracks, there was no hidden agenda other than making sure it was kept clean and useful.
