Thats one of my points, people seem unable to have a discussion without the swearing. I can't take anyone seriously if they cant make a statement without adding the swearing (it doesnt really add anything else apart from the fact that people get offended or it turns into insults)

I would agree but as he clearly stated that he will ignore this forum cos of personal attacks its pretty obvious that it has to be the players this time. BUT I do agree that GOA are unable to help the community (well, they shouldnt be unable but atm it they seem to be it.)

My favourite kind of cake is... banana! :nana:

It seems to me that whenever people express anger or frustration with the service, there are always those that say 'If you don't like it, just leave.'

If you think about it, it's actually saying a lot for the community of hib/pryd that those of us who are worried and upset about the service don't see this as a solution. We care about the server. There is a lot of love here, and I'm not going anywhere without my friends in NFD and my fixed group and the various other people who make hib/pryd special.

That's not really fair, he's paid to do a community facing job and GOA as a company are doing a hell of a lot of things wrong, the community is therefore very angry at that and Requiel takes it all to heart and just leaves the forums, it's not the communities fault but quite simply that Requiel is incompetent at his job. He has two options, make sure something is done about the issues at GOA so that the community is less agressive, or find a job that he can actually do without getting upset about the reaction of the community he's supposed to be dealing with.

Instead now, we have a company who is doing a hell of a lot of things wrong, a community that is very upset at the things being done wrong and now the person who's meant to be passing information between the two, refusing to do so because he can't take the heat personally.

I know this is a pretty controversal thing to say, but having Requiel as a customer facing person is just another blatant thing that GOA are doing wrong, they need someone who can actually do the job.

Reporting to pryd.net and fh is not part of his workload. It's optional.

Req. is not incompetent in his job. GoA give him restricted information. He passes on restricted info.

It is not Req's job to relay every bit of information to GoA. I'm sure he does anyway but RightNow, Suggestions Form, Feedback etc. is all there for you to use.

Why should he be forced to take the heat? This part of his job is optional. He chooses to do it for the good of the community and to partly help the company. If he gets slack for doing an optional part then he simply will not do it.

Req. does the job well. He may not be able to do the optional parts very well such as taking heat from abusive people on a forum he doesnt need to be a part of but thats life.

Xest, for a guy who claims he knows alot, you really no nothing at all.

as a community manager.... liaision with the community would (I hope) be included in the job.
