What do we get out of Requiel comming here and to any issue posting some bull**** like "it's being looked into" "it's on our list of issues" "we're working on it but have no ETA to give you" and the other **** responces we get to any and all issues, not like that's any help to anything anyway...

Quite frankly, using excuses like "US had more time to prepare for the xml changes" is just utter bull**** for xml being down for this long. Not to even begin mentioning the recent lag (which funnily enough is never GOA's fault like it wasn't last time, even though no one lags on the rest of the internet, for example when playing WoW whose servers are also based in Paris... Just face it it's obviously GOAs fault in having a ****ty router providers in france) or the total lack of finishing restoration of characters with item loss.

What we get out of not ****ing Requiel off is some sympathetic representation at GOA.

I'm sure Req is saying what he's allowed to say and the problem is much deeper at GOA - the GMs seem to be good and everyone who has expressed an opinion on the in-game service over at FH is saying that they are very helpful. I've only needed Req's help once, on an ML raid with Venoid, and he was there for us on that occasion.

Communication over nasty issues such as those we are sounding off about here is something that needs to be improved at the company level, and not left to poor old Req to try and defend the indefensible.

Now it's degenerated into a we-hate-them-they-hate-us situation, which is not helpful. That said, I'm still angry database / backup thing, and the lack of XML *is* ridiculous.

Requiel is the only GM that bothers to come on this forum. And lately the only threads i see is threads to start to stir ppl up. Sorry to say this but if he rather posts on FH than here what does that say about us??? Do i have to understand now that we are worse than FH? mmmm and then ppl want light moderating.
Maybe just an idea tho but if you feel like moaning, unleashing anger, swearing etc at GOA do it in a right-now or at Freddy's House.

A LOT! I for one dont read FH. If i have to do with what is said on the official site then i'll be in the dark about a lot of things. And if we have to place it all on Quinlan's shoulders to go and quote everything said there to these boards then he can take it as a second job. I have nothing against Requiel he's doing his job and he's doing the best he can. Threating him with respect is the least we can do imo. And being thankfull that he atleast bothers to to reply here.

Ok I see what you mean now. To be frank the unanimous agreement here is that this is not Requiel's fault, that said if things are that bad that he throws EULA's around like this then IMO he is better off out of the forum.

As for the forum - it has not changed one bit what has changed is that there is growing unrest at the ****ty service we are getting. Surely, you cannot blame people for feeling so angry and frustrated and then expressing it ?

The last few patches have all radically changed the way that the main character and guild databases work. DR will add more new things to track as well. There isn't an ETA that I know of for a working XML, when there is it'll be in the news.

Correct me if I am wrong but no ETA means you're not working on it, right?

Is there any chance you could give us a quick run through on why it has been out of action for 8 months without having someone work on it? The radical changes in the last patches + the prydwen db issue cover the last couple of months, but there was an extremely long period (April - September?) before that without radical changes or emergency situations.

Is it a case that you have de-prioritised it consistently over that length of time or have there been periods where GOA have not had the technical skills to work on that part of the system. If it is the former, than I think a lot of people would agree that you priorities do not reflect those of the players. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be behind the idea of getting DR a couple of weeks later than planned if it meant the XML works from now on.

Mythic manage to keep the XML going and they have to WRITE the patches from scratch, not just re-jig them.

I would do what most people do /ignore. Requiel took it personal its his choice - waving that EULA at us was insulting.

I am not sure where I started attacking anyone. I held off after the fiasco over the database errors after being on the attack at the start - I had sympathy for them when we got more details. I have even been supportive when others have been attacking them. I have just got fed up with the last two weeks to the extent where I decided to let of steam. If you look closely at my posts about the hamster etc. you will see that that was done tongue in cheek. Then we had the EULA thrown at us when perhaps Requiel might have been better sending Tackit a PM?

Maybe your not directing that last comment at me. If so yes I would agree a lot of people have got too personal and that is not what we want to see. A lot of others have just got so ****ed off they finally threw the book at him. That citation was beyond a line for me so I had to let fly.

Ankh's I am sorry but it is only in the last few days things have heated up - I do not think people have been whining every other post. You might find it easier to try and understand that not everyone has your hopless patience with GOA.

In reply to Requiel, this is exactly what I meant the other day about you taking negative comments towards GOA. With regards to people saying you're a liar I really don't think that's true, whilst some including me have said some information you've passed on is incorrect I've only suggested it's because other staff at GOA appear to have fed you false information, not that you're specifically lying which is a completely different thing. Still, if you can't take the heat of an upset community then you probably shouldn't be doing a community facing job for a company that breathes sheer incompetence...

Meh, Requiel tbh...The angry community replys should not make you think we are a bunch of assholes, it should prompt you in to relaying our anger to the powers that be..Sit them in front of a computer and SHOW them what the community are saying about them.

Personal insults are retarded but you are our only real point of contact you ARE goa as far as most people are concerned, If you send complaints to Rightnow they send you back retarded replys asking for your DxDiag.

The community is growing frustrated and leaving forums and putting your fingers in your ears won't make the problem go away.
