am i right in thinking this is a prerequisit to the breaking the blade quest?

Actually there are 2 other DF quest that you need to do before being offered Breaking The Blade.

The first is Black Plague at level 37? which has you kill Archivist Borath in the library and is the link you have above. After completing that you will be offered Strange Bedfellows at level 45 which has you kill the DF Princess. After that you are offered Breaking The Blade where you must kill the Prince, visit Alb and Mid side merchants, before finishing by killing Legion. Easy peasy

Damn good question to which I don't know the answer unfortunately. The Princess can be taken with a single standard(ish) group but is made easier if a S/S character has Engage for the PBAoE skeleton. Legion obviously requires a BG so I'm hoping that it will be BG credit, although I'm not confident to tell the truth. Perhaps Requiel may know if he passes through this thread?
