Speculation - yes, but a very good one. Thers not many gaming forums in our language, and with a community so small, people tend to stick together, so they ask around on forums on what servers other players play and so on... Besides those I know, I never saw a single word about DAoC anywhere on our part of the web. Besides the company which imported DAoC here (the only one that did it, because official distributor didn't know what DAoC is when I called em), still has those 3 boxes of Catacombs they originaly ordered on their shelves...
