Right. First of all its not that easy to get a job. Second, what you want me to do? Kill the children? And before you even mention "you should have thought about that before you got the children" - just one of them is mine, the others are not. Their father doesnt care much about them but I do. They kind of came with the deal when I got my gf...Im not the kind of guy who rejects a girl just cos she has kids.

no, i've never done any hard drug in my life. with good reason. i've known users / addicts, they weren't nice people, and they leech from those around them.
more people should learn from the mistakes of millions before them. it really isn't hard to think "wow, people have died from taking X drug before, i won't risk my life."
i assume from your post that you are a seasoned bad ass that has taken every form of hard drug available then became a counsellor? :roll:
unlikely too. but hey, never know.

i've read (and reread) everything you wrote. i still think very lowly of drug addicts. great for people that want to come off them, really.

however i will be studying addiction this coming year, and may develop an open-mind when it comes to things like this, but i don't know yet.

edit: i've had to work the needle exchange before, in a horrible area. being sent to another store because they were shortstaffed and nearly being given an injection by some junkie is, like, such fun. :roll:

I've stayed out of this discussion but been reading every post so far. And tbh i'm shocked. From the looks of things a 15-16 year old is telling a 33 year old what to do. A man that has been working all his life to support his family, to give them everything they need. He gets very bad luck and loses his job to then get this kind of shit over his head by a kid?

I wonder what he thinks about me then, been home for 2 years now due to depression, i live from money that other ppl work for yes ... does that make me a bad person? Can I help it that i'm ill? I've been working aswell, paying for ppl that didnt have a job or couldnt work for some reason. That is how the system works ... lets just wait till something happens to you my friend and you need to benefiet from the system.

Be happy as long as you have a working health care system I'd say. Don't know how the system is like in UK but in Germany it gets worse and worse.

For what I can say here in Germany, insurances eat up more money than taxes do and the insurance companies are cutting services wherever they can. My glasses cost around 300 € and those already were the cheapest possible. Without them I'm almost blind, yet the insurance company tries to pay as little as they can all the time. For what should we pay a company when they don't do what they are there for?

Ah btw. a laser operation could fix my eyes... costs would be around 8.000 - 10.000 € which I had to pay completely on my own... and our whole system is going into that direction. We recently got an obligation that when you go to a doctor, the insurance companies have you to pay additional 10 € just for the visit and so on. All claiming it costs so much more... yet all I see is that their share holders get more and more money.

What your saying Adianna is the same globally in any health system that depends on health insurance. Technology takes over and in the end no-one can afford it.

Yes, that I know... what I'm complaining about is, that German insurance companies are cutting on services to satisfy their share holders... we are not paying an insurance to give our money to share holders. I could take a match and heat my room with the money... then at least I would profit from it...

Drugs and NHS have very much to do with each other so kinda hard to split it, people who abuse drugs will get sick etc, biggest problem with equal rights for everyone is that you always want to exclude some from that right. Sure free health care for everyone unless you have done this and that, the big question is where to draw a line, if to draw a line and how to be able to keep the line?

Is kinda like communism, looks excellent on paper, just impossible to put in use due to people being a factor then, and people are greedy by nature.

OK comparing NHS with communism might be a bit extreme but I hope you understand my point. There will always be people that will take what ever advantage of the system that is in use. But there is also (I hope more) people who do work for a living, pay there taxes etc, and should they be punished if they happen to get into an accident and will be in need for NHS just cause there are a few that abuse the system?
