Update day two:
Managed to keep the momentium going and defeated it four times, alas the last one didnt want to hand us any items.
Meeting again wednesday 7pm(uk time) at the spirit, please post if you cant make that oneor not sure.

Hi Aran.

Wyst has just rung me and apologises but he's having major PC problems and is 99.99% certain he won't be on tonight, or possibly the next few days. Sounds like a new motherboard to me I'm afraid.

Well, actually it was no problem, my poor ani died once (no spirit resist buff), but we still slaughtered it fairly fast. Shame the repop was very bad tonight, and we only got to kill it twice, one of which it didn't drop anything at all.

Yep it wasnt cooperating yesterday.
Going to try meeting up at 7pm uk time again, but know a few people cant make it so we could well wipe, anyone else that is logged in the area is welcome to come help.

If you cant make it please leave a message here.

Still trying to work out why sometimes it doesnt drop loot.
Might be random but it also might be that the pet killed one of the kobolds. <shrug>

As a follow up to the post Teraka made on my behalf last night, it does indeed seem to be a dead motherboard.

At this juncture I am now left with trying to find a replacement MB for a now pretty ancient piece of kit or biting my bank manager to replace the entire PC which was already severely below recommended spec (minimum RAM, unsupported graphics card etc)

Update from thursday:

The few remaining people in the cavern returned and managed to find a warden sleeping in the corner.
With thier assistance we managed to defeat the spirit twice.

Will check in again at 7pm uk time and see if we have enough people to do it again, i think this will be the final attempt (unless it reappears again very fast)
