i spose cuz its a public record or how much yu visit the boards.
When we were choosing new mods for example we looked at the post count as well as the alliance cuz we needed people the boards members would know.

Well it isn't really, though. It's just a measure of how much one spams. I'm relating this to another forum where we had a similar discussion, and, tbh, the ones with the highest post counts are usually the trolls and people that spam pointless one-liners that don't contribute anything to the forum other than "padding".

Not saying that this is necessarily the case here, just my general opinion on post counts.
