EDIT: How about some options for those of us that think nothing should happen.... kind of a biased poll don't you think?

Really, how can you punish someone for something there is no rule against?

EDIT: Seen Ovi's post.... a bit of a loose rule, half of the regular forum posts should also have the same punishment then.

should add the option for "i dont care cause i dont take what people say to heart" vote imo :)

A mod's job is a big enough pain in the ass as it is (been there and done that on a board with a little over 1000 users and it was frustrating as hell). So if a mod were to say that to me, i'd think nothing of it :)

I very seldom post here, only to announce raids but i read it several times a day. I dident apply last time cause i was playing on mid/pry for a break. If xest rightly losses his mod rights i would step up and i am sure many more would apply for the position now the forum is so active. Wait and see how the poll goes then if necessary ask for new mods.

Another thing to add... can the other mods/admins please make the decision, and not forum users who may have a bias towards the situation. I know some would prefer it to be done publically, but we aren't the ones who run the forums.

Can't disagree with the edit.

However I think the mods are what makes the forum, it is their responsibilty to ensure that the discussions stay suitable for the board. Exactly the same way that if you don't like GoA's service you have the option of going elsewhere, if you don't like the way forums are modded you can go elsewhere.

This does put the mods in the role of Diety to a degree, although I guess they answer in turn to the true God of the forums, the person who foots the bill.

So you're suggesting I should lose mod rights because I posted a throw away comment, yet you're suitable as mod material despite making persistent personal attacks?

Nice logic.
