Depends how messed up the database is. If the database is borked then they'll need to roll back to when the database was in a known good condition. Hence they needed to find out what the problem was before they could even consider a roll back. No point rolling back to a bad db & then having more down time while they tracked the real probelm.Banana wrote:surely they only need to roll it back to when it messed up?
