I think the timing is more like the reboot caused the lost items, XP etc...

Since the items appear to have been lost after the reboot?

not from what I heard... the reboot was yesterday late afternoon / early evening, rvr then progressed etc and stuff that was there last night when people logged has disappeared by this morning.
