You farm to sell, most of MH do not farm to sell they farm for the guilds/there own characters, i myself have finished farming all arti's i need for the grp i started up except 2 artifacts. but i still farm others to gain money in order to buy MP armour for them + the scrolls they need.

Getting up a lgm acer is easier and less harmful to others than 'farming artifacts for money'

Some people sell mp scale leggings for 15p for example. Lgm acing is 15p or less.

cost me 22p to get lgm (well 1101)

Bad luck, nowhere near 22p on my acer on excal.

I'm on 805 on pryd atm but I couldn't really monitor the costs as I am gaining money due to all the trinketing a boring but fruiting trade-goodness.

Not my point at all, not even close

the options are

1 : Just pay the 1 plat needed to buy SOM artifact = 1 Plat Down
2 : Farm 5 infernal malison broadswords = waste a couple of hours, not sure
3 : Do the artifact and encounter myself with my guild druid and ML9 chanter pet = natural artifact encounter

option 3 isn't even an option due to farming, this is my point.

must say i agree with you, why should someone be forced to pay for something when they can very well do the encounter themselves?

couze ppl farm it and you are not able to? You dont like, nobody likes it but its happening, so i would rather waste 1 hour in df and be done with it than not having teh arti tbh
