Could be that you missed him when searching for him - as he can spawn anywhere near the river, and sometimes has the tendancy to roam a bit making it harder to spot him.

I roamed constantly with my bard near the river. No go.

IF you want to help your realm, do Atlantis Tablet or Jacinas Sash or similar artifacts.

Not ones which *cough* don't take too much to kill.

Could be that he was already kllled by one of these new fangled Arti farmers.

And Shades of Mist for example. What if you have a team of stealthers all wanting the said artifact, got yourself an ml9 Chanter pet and FOP/Buffs to boot, but can't get a single go on the encounter cause someone is farming the place left, right and centre

Teh Suck IMO :¬þ

1 plat is infinitely more expensive than free, and some of us have to work in the mornings :¬þ

Why should i have to pay someone when i have the equipment/characters/skills to do it myself? Just a chance to do these overly farmed artifacts is all i ask.

And don't give me "Well you could win the roll for it" argument either, If I take my guild out to do an encounter, we don't roll, ever. it goes to who we'd agreed gets the artifact as we all know we'll stick around till we all got what we need. Obviously things work differently in a mixed-guild encounter but as a guild, we all know what we want, who will help and who will get the artifact.

I saw in /as Amedor giving it the big one about Marsh Horde doing an artifact and not offering anyone else credit when he does offer. What a crock of ****!!! Does he give a natural guild a chance to do anything when related to these 2 encounters? i think not. Hats off to Marsh Horde for seizing the chance to do something without some crazy farmer stepping in and getting it all for him/herself

It's commercial lameness such as this which removes the fun from the game. I'd like nothing more than to roam Atlantis and do the odd encounter as we see them. Little chance of that with people logging alts at encounters and doing them as soon as they're up

I think it was amedor taking a potshot at marsh horde for not offering credit to others when he himself does that, his way of saying they are no better than him, and is no more worthy of the shit he gets than FOR EXAMPLE marsh horde.
B.t.w I don't have anything against marsh horde.

I fail to see the similarity TBH. MH have many members who need groups to help them with their artifacts. They have all the people they need to complete, they have the person in group who needs the encounter and/or artifact. they do it, end of story. this is how the guild thing worked i thought.

It's to be expected that a guild would need many items to complete it's many templates, as opposed to needing many items to fill an empty CM :¬þ

and, with people being the mercenary tykes they are, it's no wonder they did it ASAP without asking for people to come along for credit. Who knows what alts are logged and who else is inc these days

there was less trouble completing atifacts on a server with 2 to 3 times the population of Prydwen/Hibernia. Maybe farming wasn't as realised as now, i dunno, but it's certainly becoming an issue these days

No I asked whether they opened the encounter up, so that if anyone needed credit could come along to get it (which I do most of the time). I did this, because I believe that said members (not naming names) from Marsh Horde are hippocrites... whining at me for farming encounters, and yet farming encounters themselves.

The trouble with that is that a guild will be unofficailly (unspoken rule kind of thing) allowed to farm an artifact due to them having many members to need these artifacts. There are many caveats to this of course but it will take a good number of people to think the same before it's an 'issue'

A single person will reach this farming-threshold a lot sooner due to them being a one-man band. Also, advertising your Encounter-Credit-While-I-Farm services doesn't do anything for your public image on the subject either.

just my tuppence ha-penny ofc :¬þ
