Flames were split off and locked to prevent a continuing flamewar, he was warned not to continue in the other thread which was now flame free yet persisted to do so 3 times after a warning, 3 strikes and you're out on a temporary 7 day ban.
If he'd heeded the warnings to stop flaming on the first or second warning there'd have been no problem but he didn't, therefore, he was given a 7 day ban to cool off.
Just a note on that, if we move flames out of a thread then lock it the intention is to stop flaming, if someone continues to flame we'll move that flame/delete it (non-permanently so it can be restored if need be), 3 chances is more than enough to stop - if someone can't heed the warning by then it's clear the only way they're going to cool down is if they can't post. I could have left the thread open and let the flaming continue all night long just so people wouldn't flame me for being biased but that would've been doing a bad mod job - the fact is the flaming was ended in the correct manner, Cyfr persisted to continue it despite warnings so received a temporary ban.
Oh and Tare I think you should re-read the thread, I think you'll find multiple bait posts by Cyfr well before I said anything.
