I know I won't like the idea of a time penalty on switching realms on what used to be two different servers but will now be one.

And I don't like the idea of restricted choice for english players. Think about this:

French: 4 servers - 2 clustered 2 unclustered = ability to play all 3 realms without penalty
German: 5 servers - none clustered = ability to play all 3 realms without penalty
English: 2 servers - both clustered = ability to play 1 realm without penalty.

Can't see the point paying for an unequal, reduced game option.

I voted no against clustering, but I will stay to see how it is .. maybe it's even nice :)

And if it isn't nice, there is enough time to leave after :)

If I didn't have the option of the US servers I may well have stuck around to see how it went. But I do have the option so may as well move now and get it over and done with.

I hope we don't get too many people leaving before they've actually experienced any negative effects of clustering. Seems a shame to spoil it for yourself before clustering spoils it for you.

Briannon,

:(

this is a very sad day. There is seriously no way I would be in this game nor several other very prominent members of the Marsh Horde if it had not been for your efforts. You coaxed me along when I was ready to throw in the towel on the Nightshade there are at least 6 other people in our current guild who would never have been here if it wasn't for your efforts.

I would never have made it to 50 without you. You leaving kind of brings down the curtain on a very good phase of the game for me. I hope I can rescue my interest because I would hate to leave when I feel there might be another side to this game worth trying. I will run my account through til after the cluster and by that time I might well be calling it quits too. I just hope I can find enough interest to keep me here in the meantime. I just want back some of that vigour we had in the game only three months ago. Now I find myself logging aimlessley to watch whatever crap is on the telly because to be honest RvR is not what people made it out to be.

I am very sad to see you go. I do respect your decision and above all else I know you know more about this than most people who have been spouting at you. I am saddened to see the intolerance some of them displayed towards you as you tried to get your points accross. It hurt to see you so frustrated. I just hope I get the odd bell from you on Skype and that you will at least keep in touch through our website.

:(

So long for now friend....

p.s. I suspect this will mean Aithne will finally throw in the towel too?

Crikey, I feel very humbled. Thanks Sharkith.

I think Aithne's been lost to Euro DAoC for several weeks now so don't expect to see him back any time soon. He may well reopen his US accounts when the new server type is introduced.
