Greetings Xest,
Aye, I remember that time well. I use to watch many folk die in that area amongst the numerous Gravestones, thinking no one seems to learn from it. Then when I saw you using the kiting teqnique and guards from Mardagh to aid your kills, I knew there was hope to overcome the dangers of Hibernia in those pioneering days.
It was about that time I joined Gilgahads, Keepers of the Grove and saw the growth of guilds from their Infancy. Those were very early days indeed, however the Realm has changed considerly now.
When RvR (the end game) came to us all, we developed a community that had to aid each other to even stand a chance against the powerful Mids, who roamed our lands unchecked. Then the Albs surfaced as the Dominant Realm. We had to pull together or fall into Despair.
As the game progressed through the expansions and the freshness of mob killing lost it's sparkle, Hibernians found that to prevail in RvR, they had to obtain items, MLs and RAs to compete with the other Realms. The populance of Hibernia have worked hard at this, although losing some community spirit along the way. It would be sad to see this modern idea of " Ladder climbing" overrule " Aid your fellow Hib" as the game progresses and new folk come to our call.
Working towards Artifacts, templates and Realm abilities are important to compete against the enemy, but it must be stressed that we should not lose the community spirit that we have developed. For this hibernian way has always kept us competative and when everyone is all "Geared up" it will be the realm that works together who will dominate.
For a community to work... Manners become Important.

Chab, that was quite the speech, and i for 1 agree with it 100%
This is hib/prd.. we are the nicest ppl on the net.. not some money grabing loonies from out of town, i mean come on, how long have u lot played this game, myself ive played 3 years or there abouts, and i remember the good times and the bad times, guild hunts, unexpected XP hunts running around the old frontiers like headless chickens looking for ways to thrash the nme
How many of u lot out there can remember the words "ALBS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF AMG" or "MIDS INC FROM MMG" if u can look that far back and remember the FUN we all had at amg and mmg u will remember the Hiberian spirit, for we lost our spirit to gain brute strength... somehow i dont call that a fair trade, give me the old days any day of the week
Also, if u can remember the Mile Gates, then im sure u can remember the frustration we had when being sandwiched between mids and albs at DC, the frustration alone was enough to make it fun, cuase we always new that come ppl would stick around after death and go give those guy a peace of out swords and hammers (my preferance would be a headshot with a hammer to a mid
lol)
