Inspired by someones sig on another forum, who proclaimed that if she had to sacrifice a sense it would be Touch...
The Supreme Being appears to us Proles & proclaims - "Look chaps, I'm afraid there's been a bit of a logistic mistake. We dished out five senses to everyone & now we don't have enough left for the noobs, so y'all have 24 hours to voluntarily sacrifice one of your senses, otherwise we'll take two of OUR choice."
Which sense do you voluntarily sacrifice (& preferably why!)?
Sacrifice a sense!
Sacrifice a sense!

For me it is Hearing.
I can't imagine being blind, or losing my sense of touch, & the smell & taste of good food & wine are two of the few daily enjoyments left in life.
OK, music... but I can live without that TBH, but not to have to hear the interminable constant meaningless inane drivel of my fellow human beings would be something I'd almost classify as a reward
Interestingly my wife said sight (she can't stand the sight of me ), & the older women at work mostly said touch...

I want to hear music and see wonderfull things.
And as smell and taste are two different things according to this logic? I would assume I can taste without smell.
Taste is good. Touch is sex
So smell, I can do without.
I think there are more bad smelling crap then good anyways.

Taste only differentiates between sweet sour salty & bitter though!
We 'taste' all the other stuff with our olefactory sence (smell).

I've gone for taste.
I need sight, hearing and touch to fully enjoy computer games. And I think smell 'o vision will be around before taste 'o vision
Whenever I have thought about disabilities I always think I could cope better if I can continue to do one thing that I really enjoy doing, and computer games are likely to be the easiest to carry on with. For example, I would rather lose a leg than an arm, I don't need the leg for sitting in front of computer / TV.

What I lack in taste I gain in smell<ankh> wrote:According to people who've seen how I dress - I already lack taste

smell
got some way way nasty stinky smells sometimes.
and if your taste buds are affected would help me to stop munching nice stuff so bonus
Although sometimes i would say hearing would be a blessing to loose...i like music so i dont think it would be.
Would not to loose sight though.
Touch would be weird. youd end up decapitating a arm or something and not notice...
