It's one of those shitty webservers that fucks up if you just click links to it afaik. The idea is that if they just let you click through they might not get credit for the image, people may think it's part of the site it was linked from. The problem is, when people do get it they just don't care and don't bother trying to access the site the normal way anyway half the time so it's a pointless exercise
