There was a huge patch today

too many changes to mention all but a few

They knocked 20-30% AF off all armour
One of my shields went from AF 279 to AF 79 :p
Crafted gear was reduced in base efficiency by 20-30% too, but had stats added to compensate & can be worn at lower levels - This does have the negative effect of making crafted items even more useless than they already were to the crafter him/herself tho.
Mob drop-rates have been "adjusted" downwards to compensate.
High-res graphics have been implemented.
The memory problems & graphics-lag have been pretty much eliminated.
Horse-routes have been made 3-10 times as expensive as before.

Facit - They made the game prettier but more challenging. They took money out of the system by reducing drops & their NPC trade value & increasing prices.

I'm a bit confused (happens a lot with people around my age) about the Founder programme. I am all for buying a lifetime subscription, which is part of the Founder programme I believe, if you pre-order the game directly from source or from online stores. I've already pre-ordered (back in January) my copy of LotRO from www.play.com. Is that enough to entitle me to take up the lifetime subscription, or are there other things I need to do too?

Note: I'm not particularly interested in doing the beta testing (I don't have the time really), but I do want the lifetime subscription when the game goes public.

I'm not really sure.
A lot of people on the Beta forums are asking the same question.
Apparently play.com isn't answering emails on this subject.
I think you should be OK tho.

Well I have my pre-order code
& my founders code
& the final beta version of the game which afaik is the version on the release DVD
so I'm all right Jack :D

The only thing I don't have yet is my game DVD with the final access code, but as I won't actually need that until the 24th April to turn my pre-order account into a full account & take advantage of the founder offer I'm not worried... yet :p

I think this link answers my question, would you agree?

The other thing, if you've ordered the game online and are entitled to the 10-day offer of playing it before official release on 24 April, will the online shops post it in time?
