crucial question Xest. When WAR comes out next year will you a) be playing and b) playing on a European server with prydwen.net folks?

Sharks motivation is obvious.
He wants to know where Xest will be so he can attempt to be in the same guild as him.
After a while Shark will propose everyone 'gets together for a couple of drinks'.
Shark & Xest will then engage in a long & involved debate about the meaning of something meaningful.
Shark will, after plying Xest with alcohol for many hours, declare victory in aforementioned conversation & in order to avoid any rebuttals from Xest will put him in a carrier bag & take him home to Sheffield where he'll be forced to live out the rest of his days with no access to anything more technical than a splinter (so no more modding from airports!!!).
Come on, doesn't take a genius to work that out does it??

Playing it for me depends on time really, if it's like DAoC where you need to commit silly amounts of time to compete I really wont bother, got too much other stuff to do and the single player games market is hotting up again, they're much easier to pick up and put down so kinda prefer them when you have a lot of time constraints.
Gone are the days where I could find like 70hrs a week to play, realistically I only want to spend around 10hrs a week in an MMO max, closer to 4hrs though.
For an average 168hrs in a week
-56hrs to sleep @ 8hrs per night = 112hrs
-42hrs for work = 70hrs
-30hrs for study/research = 40hrs
-10hrs to eat/drink/shop/wash/jerk off/whatever = 30hrs
Rest goes to games/pub/time with gf etc. Can sometimes drop study/research to about 20hrs, work is pretty static as is sleep, food etc. I could have the odd week of reliving my teen years and just spend all 30hrs on an MMO of course but certainly not every week! I don't think realistically that amount of time is enough to compete properly in most MMOs, particularly when it's not a solid block of time and spread around throughout the week. If WAR is a bit more casual friendly I may roll a char and play it well, casually of course but my competitive streak would probably get the better of me

That said could always do it the way I used to when I wanted something doing - run a Zerg style event and XP up in a couple of days or whatever, playing an MMO depends as much on time management skills and making the most of your time in game as it does time available in my experience. The question I guess is more "can I be arsed to manage my time or would I rather just play something where I don't have to?", the answer comes down to the quantity and quality of enjoyment WAR rewards in turn.
