20-50 Leveling

Post by Labbe »

Hi dear hibbies!

I was wondering if any of you got a few tips on how to make the leveling of a full group from 20 -> 50 a less hassle.
We will all have access to Catacombs.

Quest instances?
Aurulite instances?
Or should we go for the old fashion dungeons?

Every tip is a warmed welcomed one.

With a decent fg i'd still go for classic camps rather than dragging people through cata instas. Will be quicker.

Sprag Den until 25
Treibh Caitelle to 32ish
Corus (upper and lower) to 40ish
After that its really up to you, and I would recommend moving to Atlantis and farm mobs for scrolls you require while leveling.
And dont forget, you will get from about level 46 to 50 just on the xp you need to level artis, presuming you have some of the tougher ones (eg BoZ and Jacinas)
Crom, Druid of Na Fianna Dragun

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...the A(nimist)-Team

Cue music for full effect.

Thanks to Tuthmes for the link.

A combination of 4 strategies works best.

Depending on size I wouldn't recommend doing task instas with more than 4 toons.

1) Task instances
Pro:
- Fast, reliable xp
- Extra xp bonus
Con:
- gets repititive after a while
- only fair money
- no drops

2) Quests (especially Epic and drop quests)
Pro:
- good way to see the land
- good items in general
Con:
- xp can be dodgy
- time intensive

3) Aurulite instances
Pro:
- aurulite that can be used for gear
- some have nice drops
Con:
- at fixed levels so xp is normally not as good as task instas
- gets repititive after a while

4) Mini quests
Pro:
- good xp
Con:
- not much else but that
- only doable once

5) XP spots
Pro:
- best xp in game for a while
- drops possible
Con:
- need to know where they are
- often a bit out of the way

If you can afford the time, then it is quite useful to just take a ride to far away towns and see how mobs con in certain areas.
This can give you a nice idea where to find good XP spots.

Good spots to level:
Level 20:
Cliffs of Moher
Level 30:
Cliffs of Moher
Droighaid and north of it
Level 35:
Necht
Sheeroe Hills entrance
Level 40:
Fomor
Necht
Sheeroe Hills
Level 45:
Cursed Forest entrance
Level 48:
Cursed Forest inside
Bog of Cullen

Keep in mind that I recommend areas that have orange to red con mobs - so nothing for a soloer at this level.

Task dungeons are pretty fast. And prolly best to do some aurulite farming as well to buy some decent lower lvl armour with it.

I agree with Crom on this one; i've always found dungeons the quickest method of exp'ing (even solo i find this true).

I think crom's levelling guide is also quite spot on, ofcourse a lot is dependant on group setup.

I'd say for 40-44 check out CF / Frontier Leps, 44-47 scroll farming, 47-50 arti exp'ing in poc (or scroll farming for what ever scrolls u still need).

//edit; i just never liked having to further exp after i'd spent time getting to 50 - so i liek to combine the levelling fo char with levelling of artis :)

When together Do the task dungeons - just make sure you have nice gear if solo - farming the instances in the dungeons will give you some aurulite to pay for that or you can get SCed gear.
A bonus to this is the corus insta. When you kill that mob he sometimes drops some jewlery which have exp-loss reduction on it :)
Always nice to have on a char who is leveling ^^

When apart do the leuitenent tasks. Get 5 a level and can get message quests which even non-dmg classes can finish :)
It only gives about 2bubbs but every little helps :)
