Upgrading EU DAOC to Catacombs with a US disk

Is it possible to upgrade EU DAOC to Catacombs using US Catacombs disks? Obviously I'd need to purchase an activation license from GOA and also point to the GOA patch server once done, but was wondering if I can save on a huge download by installing the actual files from my US Catacombs disks. Anyone done this or know?

update.dat in Catacombs root directory change to:
