As far as i am aware a guild can set their emblem and then edit it once, however our guild has set the emblem and now wishes to edit it. This is the right now responce i got:

The guild I am currently the GM of has voted to change the guild emblem however when i went to domnann to change it I was informed that it had already been done and i could not change it again. I am the only one able to change the guild emblem and i have never edited it.

Character: Xcerus
Guild: Absolution

Realm: Hibernia

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about your problem.

The only way for the change emblem option to be turned off is if you or someone else with rights did it once already.

So I'm afraid I can not help you.

It is impossible for anyone other than myself to edit the guild emblem thus it has not been changed. Please could you look into this for me as it is obviously a bug of some description.

Hello,

I'm afraid it is. As I told you the only way for your emblem choice to be removed is if someone used the /gc emblem function in your guild already.

So we will not be able to help you.

It is impossible for any one other than myself to change the guild emblem and the emblem is still set to what it was set to when the guild was formed. Thus I ask what exactly is going on here?

That's some bad attitude from GoA imo ...

When the patch with the new emblems went in we were given another free emblem respec. Have you had that patch on the euro servers yet and did you receive the respec?

If this is a very new guild then probably no respec available. Are you sure when you first did the emblem that you didn't do it twice by accident? When I did mine for my guild I was having graphics problems because of the card on the pc I was using and I ended up with a random emblem I couldn't change.

GOA didnt offer that opition. IIRC

Get everyone to leave the guild and reform? I dont hold out much hope of you getting a resolution with that attitude from whoever goa is using to service the helpdesk.

Speaking of that, I wonder if goa do have there own helpdesk personnel behind RightNow, or if it a front line provided as part of the RightNow service?

Good point, guilds made AFTER the patch may have just had the same ammount of change emblem options, if its the way i think it is programmed its a case of going into the server files and making the options of changes different to the current '0'.

Sorry to say, but this perfectly sums up GOAs support - inflexible and unhelpful. Nearly all of the communications I ever had with them had just that format: "We're sorry to hear of your problem .... [insert random nonsense here where they fail to properly address your problem] .... we're afraid we can't help you".

What could possibly be so terrible about offering you a once-of emblem respec on the understanding it's non repeatable? Would it stop the world spinning on its axis and be a major threat to world peace? No. Will it make you less likely to renew your subscriptions next month? Yes.

Inflexible idiots.

It isn't actually possible for us to give a guild emblem respec. It's not simply a case of editing a database field. All we can so is investigate as far as is possible to see if a player error has occurred or whether it is a genuine bug. If the latter, then all we can do is to document the problem and forward it to Mythic for fixing in future. In neither circumstance is it possible to grant a new emblem respec.

With the 1.76 patch on Euro servers all exisiting guilds were indeed offered a single emblem respec as this was included in the patch code.
