Poisonspikes - changing back

I heard a rumour and investigated...
GOA screwed up with regards to the changing of the poisonspikes ability to be used in combat... and as a result I contacted a GM today asking what was happening... the answer I got was:
"We did this fix because of a bug which allowed you to place multiple mines at the same time. We fixed this but the side effect of the fix was that you couldn't place the mine while in combat. We thought that this wouldn't be a problem as that's how the mines have been working since day 1 but apparantly we were wrong and it's a feature rather than a bug. A fix for the multiple mine laying problem will be added in 1.80 and the mines will be put back to their normal (and thus exploitable) nature shortly."
At the end of the day GOA screwed with something they souldnt have making changes not sanctioned by mythic...

Gosh, I wonder what the most popular questions were this week! (Though Poisonspike users tried hard, they didn't break the top three.)
Q: I realize that there may not be an answer for this yet, and that I'm probably not the first one to ask, but,...
Is the new artifact system going to be retroactive, or do we need to re-do the encounters? For example, I've done Golden Spear many times in large battlegroups, always for a chance to roll on it and never winning, heh
So I have the encounter credit and book already. Do I have to do the encounter again after the new system goes live?
A: Most…popular…question…ever.
And the answer according to the Content Queen is yes, the system is retroactive. She says "It will indeed be retroactive. Players that already have encounter credit will be able to turn in the scrolls and receive the level 0 artifact."
Q: Is the experience change to artifacts going to be retroactive?
A: According to the Content Minion: "Artifacts that were listed as gaining experience faster in the recent Pendragon patch note will have retro-active experience due to the change in the experience required to level the artifact. In other words; if your Malice Axe has 4% experience on it at level 1 before the patch, it will show up as having more than 4% at level 1 after the patch."
In other words, yes.
Q: Will the changes to atrifact stats be retroactive, or will we need to re-activate and re-level another one?
A: The Content Queen assures you that "The artifact bonus changes will be retroactive."
Q: (Insert question here on Poisonspike, changes to Poisonspike on our European servers, and so on.)
A: I'm a little fuzzy on the details of what happened there. What I do know is this: Poisonspike may presently be cast during combat, and it is presently our intention to leave that alone. I don't know if that was originally considered a bug, but if it was, it's a feature now! As with everything in the game, the team might change their collective minds. For now, however, it is not scheduled to be changed. We just had a communication breakdown with our partners in Europe, and we'll take care of it.
