How much do you charge, Spellcrafters?

Please excuse me for using this forum and not traders' or crafters' forums, but I wanted as many people to read it as possible.
I always thought that crafters charged the cost of materials plus 10% for guild members, or 20% for non guild members. I can't remember where I got these percentages from, because it's a long time ago, but I distinctly remember obtaining them from somewhere/someone.
However, I was recently reproached by a fellow spellcrafter who said I was not charging enough and ruining the market.
So, would Spellcrafters please post on this thread, and let me know what the going rate is.... whether you charge materials plus a percentage, or whether you have a fixed price regardless of remakes etc.
All I'm trying to find out is whether I'm not charging enough, or if other Spellcrafters are "riding the gravy train" and charging way too much because they're in high demand.
Yes, yes, "supply and demand!" I hear you shout... but are we in this game to help out others or to be greedy?
I realise this could turn into a "flaming" session, and that's why I will say now that I have said all that I am going to say on this thread.
Thank you.

just do what i do on midgard gandelf.
(although heresy is a totally different guild structure)
all guildys get crafted for free (apart from overcharged thid gear and they get told to jump)
everyone else prices go as follows
150 gp per peice of armour (no overcharge)
350 gp per peice of armour (with overcharge)
armour must be supplied before crafting and template must be provided in XML or Text format emailed to me (which i provide in game)
OR you can send it over msn (which i will also provide)
thidranki sets to stop people asking me to craft i charge a flat 5 plat for overcharged gear (if they want to pay ill do it)
basically those prices cover everything and you will make a decent profit and the person goes away happy.
O also i state that if you pm me while im crafing the price goes up 100% and doubles each time you pm me.
But always ask for the items up front as basically a deposit if they dont want to pay the price then you keep the armour.
anywho thats when im on my SCer which is rare because frankly i cant stand being messaged by people going
"hi can you craft me some armour and legs and a weapon i dont know what i want but i need to be able to swing faster" its like woot how vague can you be

250g for guild member, 300 to 500 g per 5pt oc item for others.
It's not the materials that cost you as spellcrafter, it's your time. Whereas time and material goes hand in hand with other crafting skills, spellcrafting is time consuming and that's what a player has to pay for.
My rule of thumb is 300g per hour minimum profit - and 4 to 6 pieces easily fill that on a bad day. Otherwise I am better off hunting for myself and not spellcraft.

aye gandelf never go on cost price with spellcrafting because i always see spellcrafting as the equivalent of crafting say 4 99% weapons or armour peices, you may only need 2 99% and 2 98% to do safe overcharging but the fact remains that you may be spending an hour to two hours crafting 1 persons set. and as most people only ever need 3 or 4 peices of armour /weapons spellcrafted then you cant really say 1.6 plat for a full set because you wont get it.
But its all determined on the current money on the realm say for hibernia prydwen with the crash and stuff then there might be a lot more people around after a spellcrafter with a lot more money and you should reflect that in your price.
either way go with what you can live with if you can live with making no profit and spending hours doing overcharged gear for folks then go for it but honestly charge them for your time not for the items.

With ToA and the amounts of cash around... 1 platinum per hour + material. Including consultation if I needed to construct the template around the items.
When you consider that I usually need around 40 mins to spell a template with 6 items, that's 600-700 gold for the whole template + 300-500 gold for the stones.

isnt it upto himself how much he charges? He will soon enough realise that he has to put a lot of time and effort in it and his prices will go up.
