Seems to be for the US players but you never know what can could happen.
Mythic Entertainment today announced that Trials of Atlantis, the third expansion pack for Dark Age of Camelot, is available to all current and retired players as a free download. All accounts have been activated to allow access to the expansion content. Players can download the “Trials of Atlantis” files from here. Former players returning to the game can re-activate their account, regain their original characters and take advantage of the online availability of the expansion.
#edit: Migh be old news i dont know, was defo new to me atleast
Lairiodd wrote:The point is that Mythic don't want to have to support all the expansions, I'm pretty sure they did the same with the SI expansion too.
Aye that's right.
That almost certainly means they'll only be providing support for the ToA, Cata & DR clients from now on. Anyone using an earlier client will be told they can now DL the ToA client free of charge. Anyone whose PC can't support at least the ToA client needs to upgrade their hardware, but hopefully there aren't too many people still using a sub-GHz machine. I guess GOA will more or less be forced to do the same when they catch up with the current Mythic patch.

Well you can already upgrade to the Catacombs engine for free, you just don't get the Catacombs content unless you pay for it so that makes support a lot easier for them as Darkness Rising essentially only uses the Catacombs engine, basically it means that Mythic only have to support one engine nowadays

its also easier on newer players (if any) that want to join the game but dont want to think "ive got to buy the basic set + all those expansions as well i dont want to pay all that money ill go and play wow + all its expansions as well"
its just good working practices it means that everyone now technically has toa and they cant just go "omg i cant play toa because i r sooks" or somthing

What's wrong with it ? I know the new models suck but I just turn them off Other than that it can still be configured to work just like the old SI client even.
