i found a way on FH do cut the name-extensions from EXCALIBUR down to a single e .

How to do:

/rpfilter EXCALIBUR e and/or
/rpfilter PRYDWEN p

/rpfilteron ( see your rpfilter-status and list replacements with /rpfilter )

as soon as enabled every EXALIBUR will be replaced with a e.

it's working very well on chats but has no effect on killmsgs and others( sadly )

Problem is that they are like that in the first place

Chances are the characters that have the same names are usually someones alt on another realm... ;/ should have the chance to rename an alt which clash with a main to reduce the amount of PRYDWEN/EXCALIBUR spam.

For instance you should be able to make a GM ticket with "rename to XXXX" and it will be done for you without the GM having to contact you.

I hate to be a filthy WOW'er but they had a phase where unsuitable names were force-renamed to something simalar, for instance a friend of mine had her name renamed from Piehoe to Applepie with the option of paging to choose a different name if that one wasnt attractive enough. Maybe something like this could be implimented?

Actually the problem is on kill messages, you can't remove the EXCALIBUR OR PRYDWEN messages from there :C

Well, u can but only way is that disable killmessages

its going to be changed to small letters soon
