I liked the trailer, think it can attract alot of new players if it is advertised enough. Was also nice to see a movie which is not exclusivly focused on TEH THANE as TEH POWERFUL RVR CHAR like they usually do in DAoC trailers

The part where the fire wizz did /wave and /smile made me giggle though , and the scout "assisting the ground troops", hoho hihi haha!

Actually thanes aren't bad at all for bging in fgs. Needs high rr though for obvious ra reasons.

I dont think Thane is a bad choice for a BG'er at all if played good, it is just that Thane has got the gimp status because of it is a class that appeals to many new players, thus many newbie thanes

and of course the everlasting aoe hammers mezz break paranoia

Aye, a stupid thane is a lot more devastating to a group than a stupid warrior (which is just semi-useless, even idiots can stick+bg the sm :D).

A thane can interrupt a lot better than a warrior though thanks to instants.
