Heh GOA and Mythic have different policys over this :p

Mythics policy is enemy realms are allowed to emote spam because its the only form of communication, but if realm members do it, it's a violation.

GoA seem to ban people no matter what realm

Strong policys!

*ALERT* Bitter, just-woken-up annoyed opinion inc!

I don't really mind that policy, I wouldn't do it myself and if I ever felt like having tendencies to spam an emote (or comments) I would jump on the closest landmine, as that's the fate I feel that CS kiddies should have.

Yes, it's part of growing up, trying to find limits, anger being hard to manage and the girls starting to get interesting. But having to spam /laugh, /slap, /rude, /hug... whatever emote or comment it may be, you need to see a professional.

And to close off this argument: GRRR GRR GRRRR GRGRRRR UMF

i dont agree with emote spamming /rude at people in rvr tbh
seems so childish tbh
i tend to /bow at the fallen enemy or (if it gets too bad) log if i get annoyed. Never once in the history of daoc have i even considered emote spamming at an enemy :)
Maybe GoA are a wee bit harsh with the banning but if it works yknow ;)

Imo in any internet places where people can meet and communicate anonimously, things can happen, and lowering the limit to someone, who is crying irl just he got 4 /rude emotes is simply silly.

bans are daft for emote spamming, just /release and dont come down to their level and be tempted to emote spam back.

Reporting em feels like running to teacher after someone called you names in the playground.

The only, sole reason to emote spam enemies is to piss them off, people doing it can still be mature, cute irresistable beings in real life.

And as from the recent bannings it comes out clear: it works, people are pissed

"loller u emotespammured me now I hafta report yuo"

Jeez, talk about childish

Not sure which is the most childish tbh, the emotespammer or the person reporting them. :o

As you say people only emote spam to piss people off, as it's a game should they really be going out of their way to piss people off?

I can understand GoA wanting to stop people pissing others off, after all it's their customers getting pissed off, for no other reason than someone else thinks it's a good idea.

That is assuming, ofc, that by "emote spamming" we are referring to using an emote repeatedly, since a single emote should not be of any issue, as it is the onyl way to express any feelings between realms :)
