On the GOA web-page today appears the following (my emphasis in bold):

[13-06-2005] Dark Age of Camelot on your mobile

A few months ago we asked you about your mobile phones and since many of you own a high performance phone we have the pleasure to offer you a DAoC WAP site available starting today. This is completely new in Europe for a massively multiplayer online game and makes Dark Age of Camelot even more complete.

This is a free pilot service - although you need WAP access from your phone operator - which will bring new developments to those who can take advantage of them. Currently you can read the titles and headlines of the last 8 newposts and access data mostly similar to that displayed by the Roll of Honour. It will give you the status of the war room - list of the towers and keeps and name of the guilds that are claiming them, status of the relics - as well as some statistics - guilds, tradeskills, characters of a guild. It can also give you the rankings - alliances, guilds, characters.

Wouldn't you have thought they might have fixed this before announcing a new way to get out-of-date data?

Sorry GOA, but I ain't gonna even try this service until I can be sure you've got your info systems working properly.

For heavens' sake, do you guys know ANYTHING about marketing to your customers?

It´s not the faulty data on Roll of Honor... it´s just mostly similar faulty data LOOOL

I wont be checking it anyway, my phonebill is huge enough as it is and if i go on WAP it wont get any better!

I know they're trying Satyn, and I titled my post that I couldn't resist the temptation as a bit of semi-joke. It is meant to be half-light-hearted, but also half serious. The serious bit is that it is about time the Roll of Honour is fixed.

It could be worse, GOA could've just wasted the last 2 months developing a new server type that no existing customers give a flying fuck about because bots are so entrenched into the game that they can't just be given range limits on buffs to solve the problem like a certain other well known company just has

Not for a while I'm afraid.

Two of my accounts expire this month, the other next April, so I will be playing that account but it is my alb bb account. My Hibernia days end on the 25th June.

Your Hibernia days end on my birthday, is that some kind of present ? Could come to the new US server with me and make all 5 of the people who voted no bots options lives a misery by running round as sorcs or BDs with DI bots stuck to us farming the botless noobs in revenge for them wasting a perfectly good new server!
