Never thought it would come this far, always tried to keep people in Hib, and always felt a bit sad when someone left. I know i prolly shouldn't be posting this now, and prolly that'll regret it when waking up in the morning. But this time i'm not sure what to think anymore.
Hibs, including me, have always said that Albs are greedy and selfish, but the last weeks/months this hasn't been different here i think.

I've been flamed enough tonight after wanting to finish ML6.10 after it was cancelled by the raidleader, got flamed more after i said i would claim the remains since that was the only item i was after.
The remains were loto'd, i lost as usual, asked to buy em from the person who won em, we came to an agreement, and when he then checked Cm and saw they were worth 8P he said the deal was off and i had to pay more if i wanted them. At that point i logged.

I also want to say to Rhoslyn i am sorry she got an arguement cause of me, i didn't want that to happen either.

And to what i said in the BG, i still mean it tho, and it was nice to c that many people still came to help and we dropped Chimera in about 20 secs.

But as for now i lost my faith in Hib, prolly cause i'm very annoyed about what happened tonight, and so it might be that i quit playing.
I can't and won't say for how long, cause i will soon prolly miss u all to much, but i might as well get used to a life without DAoC and never come back.

First of all sorry again for tonight, especially the arguement on /as.

And second i would like to thank each and one of u i ever grouped with and made me like DAoC so much. I made some very good friends in all the time i played. Will never forget how hard it was getting my ranger to 50 and how i felt the night he finally dinged it, which is a long time ago by now anyway .

And thx all as well for all the fun stealth groups in the past, still miss amg sometimes.

Times have changed in the game as more and more of the 'old school' hibs sign off but that is life in general.

Was not part of the discussion over ML6.10 but it does seem a shame that peeps are less and less willing to help out unless there is a lotto in it for them.

The less support we give the few who are prepared to lead raids (RvR or PvE) the less we as individuals will have the chance to progress as the less raids we will see. Barely a raid goes by when I do not hear of arguments over the /bg or comments that the raid leader was bad.

I for one hope your break is a short one, but this is a game and unless it is being enjoyed then I guess there is little point being on line.

Take a break, breath deep, put your frustrations aside and come back to us refreshed and eager to beat up the albs and mids. You have a lot of friends inside FS, inside NE and elsewhere who will be sorry to see you gone for too long.

I understand your frustration, this sort of thing has been happening more and more since TOA was released (yes it happened before as well, but nowhere near as often), people pursue personal gain at the expense of others.

Usual raid etiquette is to only roll for items you intend to use, so a bit unfair for the guy to roll on something he knew someone else needed if he was only intent on selling it.

Usual raid etiquette also lets the poor sod who ran the thing claim remains as a reward anyway if he intends to display them, so really shouldn't have had to roll anyway. The remains should have been donated to you by the grateful hibbies who wouldn't have ML6 without your help.

Having said that, with so many immigrants from Excal these days its always a good idea to clarify loot split rules at the start of a raid to avoid this kind of mess, can't really blame the guy for trying to get a fair price for his winnings if he was unaware that kind of behavior is frowned upon.

Don't let the ignorant and self-absorbed behaviour of a few individuals push you out.

Take a break to cool off a little bit, it really helps.. when you start playing again you'll appreciate the good parts of the game and community a whole lot more.. presuming of course that you do decide to return (I found that after taking a break I had no urge at all to return.. hence I havent logged in since March :rolleyes: ).

Try something different for a bit to get a little perspective on things, I chose WoW but I hear RL can be kinda fun too as long as you don't take it too seriously

It's a shame that leading raids burns leaders out that much now that they decide to stop it.

Unluckily for us the ones that display this type of greed before need attitude are never the ones reading these forums.
I think that when clustering comes the rest of the old hands will have to adjust very hard or just give up.

Thand, just take a break - or just log on and play with people you know for a while. It really helps to find back some fun and forget the bad things that happened.
