Artis, why aren't they group drops?

Ok having now had a bit of time to play in ToA I have to say I hate the place. What I want to know is why on earth did they not make Artis drop for groups?
You could have a full group with each member doing the encounter and then allow the mob to drop for all members. Why not make the Artis like extended group quests? Sort iof Indiana Jones style? What happened in Mythic was someone sleeping at the meeting?
What has happened is an expansion of BG activity which is ok first time around (in some instances) but becomes tedious in the extreme (ML3). We then had an absolutely massive expansion in activity that only benefits individuals - scrolls and artis :arti: . What the hell were they thinking of?
It is group activity that makes guilds and I am not surprised to find that some of us have seen our experience of the game take a major nose dive. I am now facing the possibility that my only real group experience is going to be in 8vs8 RvR?!
