Roughly 7-8 times yesterday between the time of 3pm (Gmt) and 6pm. my chanter pet bugged on me. everytime i released him and respawned him (underhill ally) after a minute or two he bugged up again.
i cant remember the exact numbers but his name changed to something like 99z7. and he kept dissapearing and running away.
any thoughts on this?
has this happened to anyone else?

Could be unrelated but I've noticed when I get a certain distance from my controlled pet with my animist, its name turns into a number as well. It turned back when I was back in range.

My druid's level 7 wolfpet miraculously gained 970 levels yesterday and the panel showed it's level at 977, so yes there is something indeed strange afoot Holmes.

Seen the level 977 with my animists mainpet as well. About the chanter and the whole running away... You probably had it on "stay" or something like that?

A similar thing happened to me a long time ago when I had a sm on excal. Summoned a lvl 90-something or thereabouts pet.

It'll happen if you port too far or catch a boat such that your pet ends up too far away.
