I found it funny, that they emailed me this offer, when both my accounts have the expansions already.

So, not only is it saying, Pllllleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeeeee play, they have not taken the time to see if you already paid for it or not.

I guess the other big problem is, what would GoA have to do to get people to play again.

Seems to be three types of people who have left.

1, just quit, they are not going to play again, since they have quit.

2, Moved to different game, small chance that with a free expansion they could reactivate for a look around.

3, Moved to USA server, my only regret about this is not doing it years ago. Fantastic fun on classic servers, all BGs busy, people everywhere. ToA servers are quieter, but still good to play.

So, perhaps the questions should be, what would GoA have to do to make people play again?

Been thinking about this for a while, short of making account free, I can not see any other reason I would return to the UK servers now.

I actually just pasted the topic of the mail I got into the topic of the thread, and tbh, free is a price decrease from costing, so its not inaccurate

No idea how long ago it was since I played daoc the last time, Xest when was it!!!

Well I'm not far off the 2 years mark now but dunno if you stopped playing before or after me

I didn't even get the mail so maybe finally GOA have realised I aint coming back no matter how many offers they send me

Yes. Currently have one level 50 Hunter (shown below).
Also have a lowish level Captain and some characters that are only there to ensure ownership of names that I like.
