dont think ppl will leave over something like this. Problems happen, and it will always happen.

longer its down tho more peeps will realise one of two things

a: they have a great Real life and quit
b: they have a suxy real life and play the game more when it comes back

or even the odd 3rd one

c: they have a great real life but escape from it to kill peeps in game/go thru forced pve

but how many peeps are like that

d: choose alcohol until the server comes up and return to the server with a major hangover

Afraid new poeple do leave, like a rl friend of mine, spent 3 days straight getting his vamp 45 i think it was here got, not probably gonna rollback servers and he cba to go through it all again :/

Yes this is serious enough to keep the server down yet another couple of days. No we don't like to do this. No we don't think it's normal. No we don't think it's good service. But no there is no other way. Yes we will look at ways of compensation. Yes it sucks that it happens in a weekend with a bankholiday. Yes I'm going to sleep the entire weekend.

Wondering if I should renew my subscription before the server comes back up and hopefully get extra days for nothing. Also, I don't have to worry about rollback because I haven't played for a couple of months. Crafty me

if i recall the last time the server went down it was only subscriptions that were active during the downtime period that were compensated for the full amount anyway.

I wonder however - how are they going to do this?
The other times its been easy as the whole english subs server was affected ut this is only affecting prydwen. will they give excal players the compensation too as theyre part of the english server as i imagine going through the prydwen database to see which peeps have played prydwen recently would take forever.

But what if a player renewed subcription without knowing the server was down... not all players read news... even if it's staring them right in the face?

Surely, you would get compensation at least for the days that you couldn't play, even though your subscription was active?

GOA would have to give the benefit of the doubt to the player surely?

if you try to resubscribe there will be a pop up saying
'haha we knew youd try this - we will take your money for no compensation - thanks for the donation gandelf' and they may even add the :mwahaha: smilie on it for extra effect
