As i understand it, as long as your account was open when the server was brought down, you WILL get the free days. If your account closed between the downtime periods, it should be reopened for the compensation period, then close again if you do not choose to renew.

I'm sure i read this in a post from a GM somewhere, but Requiel/an E&E would probably be able to put me straight if i'm wrong.

Be glad Mythic helped at all, fact is Mythic will have had to pull resources away from development/support of their own service to once again help deal with GOA's incompetence.

This isn't the first time GOA have had database corruption, the other most prominent was the level 100 troll player on Camlann. I remember also the euro servers having problems where people would log in and appear as other people's characters - I don't recall any of this happening on the US servers. GOA should've been aware that their setup was prone for whatever reason to database corruption and had procedures in place to deal with the problem. More importantly, they should have regular full backups in place so that they can return to a working state without ANY loss of items, but perhaps a slight rollback in far less time than 10 days or whatever it's taken them.

i have to ask this again who the hell let's xest post here, the reason for mods is to prevent people like xest doing nothing more then reopening personal off topic grudges and showing his continuing anti GoA attitude.

He's not speaking for the player base, he is not even a member of the player base. I was one of many who was actually happy to see him leave long ago and go to the US, i finally thought we were rid of him. The more i read this forum the more i really feel like just forgetting it exsists and moving to FH to advertise any of my future raids, numbers might be down but dear god at least i will get away from that egocentric tit.

and why not, people its a game we are talking about. If its down for a few weeks go play something else. How much are we talking here money wise??? 32 euro for 3 month's or something like that?? I mean dear god all this talk of contribution and i would bet that every single person here has spent that on a round of drinks without blinking. Sure its annoying but get out and try RL for a bit. I will be annoyed if i lose stuff but half the fun in this game for me is getting the stuff together and working out a template in the first place, as long as they return the stuff i know i am missing fair enough. Odds are we will be changing templates for epic weapons and other drops in Darknes Rising. There is a few decent drops in cata i want to get into my pve templates for animist and ment anyway, so would be redoing them whatever happpens.

Malimbar, no offence but many people probably invest more time into this game than perhaps you do, I dont play many other games and IRL is quite boring atm, school and stuff so prydween being down causes big boredom for me tbh
