Why not list all the parts you bought here and we'll try and assess the compatability for you? I regard myself as an experienced builder of PC's yet i still had a few problems when purchasing my last 64bit machine with all the new types of memory/cpu/mobo out there. If I was confused, i'm sure there must be more confusion about somewhere and it sounds rife in your install

try us and see...

i'd get this man, cheap enough and ABit aren't that bad.

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/104486/rb/20166403348

Goes with any type of DDR memory (266/333/400) and takes your Athlon XP no worries. Has an AGP slot, nForce chipset (nVidia 4tw & STFU ATi lovers yarr!!), takes your old IDE drives or some nice shiny new SATA ones if you decide to get those in the future

£33.86 delivered

Had ram tested yesterday by a professional, it's fine and tested the motherboard with a different CPU. That's fine also, both boards are dead :/

Lifted the heatsink off right after you turn comp off, cpu is cold as fuck, which is not normal.

TBH i've had my fill of buying shite from the internet for a while, i am gonna go down my local store and pay a bit more this time, at least i can deal with the dood directly and get far less hassle of A) bidding for shite B) waiting to see if i have won and ofc C) having the uncertainty of good passage of post only to find the board is dead because the packaging blows and you paid a god damned fortune for it :/

And another thing, if the board doesn't work from my local dealer which incidentally is 10 mins walk from my house, i can slap him in person xD
