what is funny is getting talking to other and finding out who they are on pryd... ended up chatting to some hibs, some mids and some albs...

but tbh Im with Ankh... got bored of getting lost trying to find my way around and finding places to level... so off I tootled and gave my brothers Guild Wars discs a new home... interesting game but not overjoyed with having to learn something... I just want to go PA'ing my enemies with my shade.

Damn half of this thread is full of retarded comments by people who have no idea how a game and a gaming company works.

First of, duping an item is incredibly foolish. I've played two other games where i've delved into the item codes and the such and duped items will always have the same code as the item which it has been duped from. Most likely, every day at least, a dupe detector is ran, basically a search of all the necessary files to find any matching codes.

Second of, it has been mentioned already that the servers weren't hacked. My educated guess is that if wide-scale hacking was the case they'd have taken the whole system offline completely and have directed each individual customer to safety precautions.

Thirdly, GoA owe you nothing. Policies are a crafty thing now-a-days. They word them so deviously that they try never to 'owe' you so to speak. It reminds me of yesterday when we found out the insurance policy for our car only works on electrical motors and not the regulators that the electric motors run with. Basically, when you click the 'play' button after loading up the patcher you are declaring to yourself through their policy that you are entitled to very little.

That being said, the GM did say that a heightened experiance gain might be introduced on Prydwen to make up for the losses. Although this won't be beneficial to everyone you need to understand that GoA is a company which runs a popular game, they need to maximise profits whilst also handling customer satisfaction. Giving the whole active DAoC European Community a total of 5-10 days (since everyone probably has a character of any level on there) may grant customer satisfaction but it won't maximise profits.

Bugzy although i agree with most of what you said the 3rd point isnt strictly true, u see not matter how the agrement is writen GoA suply a Prepay service where We as the cust's Pay them to suply this service if there is a problem with the service they suply they they are abbliged to suply a resable compastion, although this is basicly up to them on how and in what shape this compastion take's form, so we from pryd sever use and pay in advance for this service and although there are other servers for us to use they have distupted our normal activites from whitch we have already payed there for they stand accountable for this.

Dunno if your aiming this on people having duped items now? well they havent anyhow, items got duped and lost bacause of this corruption that has occured.

I don't know about the rules or nothing what they are obliged to do, but it would be in their best interesst to compansate, or they will lose customers, even though I really like the game, I would stop paying on my accs anymore just because it would be so lame of them not doing so.

As I have payed for the service I want to be able to use it, or be compensated for not being able to use it, If a major company here in Sweden anywhere couldent deliver what it had promised to it costomer in time, they would either quit buying whatever from that company or get compansated in some way.
