Suppose you're totally opposed to AC raids.
You claim a keep & some knumknut AC guild steals a relic at 5AM & dumps it in your keep while you're asleep without either asking or having to have your permission.
Now you can't even downgrade or release the keep without getting your a/c banned???

Albs want to have fun too you know, & the way things are going on Hib & now on Mid too there'll be no point in the new expansion as only Albs will be able to get anything out of it which will destabilize the realmwar still further.
TT were trying to make an honourable stand & do something about the state of the cluster & I for one applaud them for it.

Isn't that exactly what the people who conducted the AC raid did ?
Isn't that exactly what any guild does when it releases a keep ?

AC raids have been hugely unpopular even among albs. Even the CM guild who often run late at night recognised that and publicly said they would no longer do them.

GOA had a lot of choices, even if they felt that TT were wrong. Even Requiel does not like AC raids.

A ban was neither required nor necessary. Given the overall annoyance at AC raids a ban was never going to win the hearts and minds of the players. A warning and a public statement would have been far more efficient and at least showed some understanding.

GOA gave no thought to the situation. GOA over-reacted. GOA did the wrong thing.

They didn't they made a decision to save guild BPs by downgrading the keep!

hmmm i quit on time.

I do understand GOA's reasoning but it think its a very bad mistake to make when the cluster is doing so bad. There are so many things they could have done without chasing even more players away.

I didnt get around reading all the posts but did they bann the entire guild?

from what i got told
they banned the two guild leaders for 5 days.

which naffed off their guild (understandably)

Can GoA remove control of the keep and let a different guild take control and if the keep is taken over night and hibs get the relic back, please give the relic back to alb.

One other thing GoA, Ban the account that Rush-Exc is on

Unless I'm missing something (and if I am I apologise), there's no indication from Rush-Excalibur that the keep was downgraded to save bp. Hibs don't need charity from the Albs; if we want to get our relics back then we should do it enitirely because we have the might to do so and therefore deserve it. We don't need Albs making it easy for us, which is just an insult imo.

If the cluster is in a bad state, then it's purely because of the players, not GOA. From that point of view, if the players can't respect the rules of the game and each other, then the cluster deserves to die. Sad, but a fact of life.

Actually hibs failed to get the relic back even though it was in a level 1 keep (they did try). So we do not have the might.

Also albs AC'd away both relics (on consecutive nights).

The insult is that a mindless minority feel that AC raids are a good thing. CM used to relic raid a lot at 2am as that was their normal playtime and even they realised how damaging an act it was to the community as a whole so they publically said they would stop.

It is not about charity, it is about doing the right thing for the good of the player base and the spirit of the game. Even a majority of albs who posted on FH seem to think TT's actions were justified. And so far you are in the tiny minority who seems to think a ban was the right thing to do.
