Veg, you seem to be confusing the ability to say what you like online free from RL constraints, with being yourself. They aren't one and the same. If you take other people out of the equation (because you aren't worried about their feelings or opinions) then you're no more being yourself than if you were standing having a conversation with a fence post.
Refusing to change is often confused with 'being yourself'. But life is all about change, learning is change. Strong opinions are good, but inflexible opinions are the equivalent of the aforementioned fence post. And no I'm not calling you a fence post, just pointing out that whatever we all type online is being read by real people, so why treat them any different to people IRL - there should be no difference.

the reason flame wars brake out is becuse the dont feel those limitations like the do in real life yes? no i do take a part out of ur post for this "you seem to be confusing the ability to say what you like online free from RL constraints" when u said that i eyes lite like a xmas tree...be besides the point, online doesnt have any limitations... or well thats what ppl think anyway, so when ppl dont feel limitations... they act liek themselves, its really quite that simple, yet when ppl in real life feel the limitatoins they dont act liek themselves... take a job for example, when ur in work and ur typeing away and ur boss comes up behind u an asks what ur doing.. are u doing it work... blah blah blah, wood u flame him?? (an no i dont mean get a flame thrower an BBQ the stupid fool lol) no.. ofc u woodnt.. u wood loss ur job, its the same in normal life.. when u an a mate are going out.. and he turns around an asks for ur opinion.. wood u flame him?? or if someone on the street came up to u an asked u for afew pounds?? wood u flame them?? no.. ofc u woodnt.. with ppl around u woodnt dare becuase u wood be seen as a freak, online.. its still the same u r seen as a freak (but nobody cares) becuase its a daily think that happens on the net... u flame therefor u are, its just the differance between real life.. and online... with online.. ppl seem to think there are no limiations.. so they go all out an flame flame flame.. and then be flamed AND SO on.. and so forth, in real life.. u cant do that cus u feel the limiations thats come with human body contact.

I think i stay up to much... does that mean i have to stop being awake? if u were to stay ni ur bed 24/7.. there wood be ppl there to pick u up an make u sane again, does that happen online?? in summery, if there are limitations online.. then they arent the same irl, so ppl neglect them and leave them to the side while they speak to there friends online, and besides that... Real Life is far differant to Online... no body contact.. no verbil phrases.. no verbil full stop (unless in vent or TS2 lol) but with this comes a price... the price of tone of voice, we cant tell is someone is being sarcastic.. or joking... or even serious.. we just take it the way we want to see it. misunderstandings are had... and flame wars brake out every day.. but there is one sure thing on the net... that the ppl on the other end of ur posts.. are real.. are flesh and blood and they DO have feelings just like urself.. so if a flame war is to be had, they u have to keep that inmind, and before the flame war u have to look at the post ur flaming in every possable angel to make sure what u are doing is 100% correct... otherwise.. u might find that U urself becomes the bad guy, through more misunderstands... comes more ignorance.. through more ignorance.. comes more stupidity.. and so on..

There are limits online and they are the same to those in RL in that they are self imposed. There is nothing to stop you flaming your boss except fear of the consequences. Being removed from guilds/alliances having no one to group with on line are not going to be pleasant but if people push things too far they are the results.
We are not there yet, what we do have however is less opinions or voices being heard because some do not post for fear of the mindless drivel that is increasingly posted back. A bit like some people not talking to you at work I guess.
