ML10 Farming
No set meeting point as the portal moves everyday. The BG will be up when the time comes and I'll let everyone know then.

Thanks to everyone who came along. Things didn't work out quite as I had hoped, or as they have in the past.
The first four mobs went down quickly and smoothly, even the first that was lag pulled before we were ready.
Draco on the other hand, was more difficult. First we tried a suicide puller while we stood to the north, spreading shrooms out and capped by the time he came back. Then we tried the same routine but with each animist having their own stack, less spread. Then we tried at the west end, capping then pulling. Finally we tried south side, capping then pulling. Same result each time.
When shrooms hit, they do serious damage. However, most of the time they're completely resisted. Theories include LOS issues because of the ledge, 'good spots' in which we can hit him, and more recently the notion that he resists certain types of damage and hitting him with other types causes him to cycle his resists to another type. Unfortunately, they're all only theories at this point, so I'll do some research.
Suggestions are welcome. I think a night off is a good idea, but I'm up for trying again on Wednesday if people are interested. Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for arranging last night. I am sure we will have better luck next time.
I am not convinced it is a cycling resist thing, since we would have had to be very unlucky on all the pulls for that to have been the problem.
As you pointed out, when the shrooms hit they do massive damage so the only other thing I can suggest is that we use one stack, for all the shrooms. That way when 1 hits they all hit, maximising damage when he is hitable.
The other thing I read somewhere is that it could be caused by his tethering code, so that if people stand in the wrong place he doesn't get hit, but I have also seen posts that suggests this is unlikely.
One thing I have thought which might confirm/deny this, I seem to remember the reists message is different when the tethering code is in force? (4 month DAoC holiday still affecting my detailed memory
) Iirc last night's message I was getting was that the mob "resisted the effect", anyone know which resist message is which?
Unfortunately I have other commitments for Wednesday night, so I doubt I will be able to make it, but I hope you have better luck with Draco
/Edit: Link to awarkle's post about cycling resists
Here is where the tether code is mentioned, but as I said also seeming proof that it wasn't the tether code.

I'm fairly certain that it's not a tethering problem. I believe they are indicated by something along the lines of "Draco cannot be attacked at this distance" when casting ranged attacks, but when you have close shrooms but out of range animist, the shrooms just don't cast at all. I was getting plenty of resist messages, though sadly very few damage messages.
Thanks Ovi for the links. It seems that four wipes in a row are not uncommon, and there is no guaranteed strategy for farming. That said, it can be done if you keep trying, and some spawns are easier than others.
